OVERVIEW

After receiving notoriety at the local farmers’ market for her popular breakfast sandwich, the now owner of Songbird decided to start a breakfast restaurant to further express her creative culinary skills with the goal of engaging community businesses and customers alike.

Songbird features elevated comfort food sourced locally and sustainably. More than a restaurant, Songbird is a community. The restaurant partners with a local coffee company and baristas to employ a top notch coffee program. They also partner with farmers, butchers, gardeners, bakers, and other purveyors to provide a fresh and local experience to guests.

The name Songbird was inspired by the birds that owner Chris Meyer enjoyed as she often prepped for her varying culinary endeavors in the early hours of the morning.

The restaurant partnered with a local sign painter to incorporate the branding on the store windows.

ROLE

Developed the brand identity, brand guidelines, menu design, and other print materials for the brand launch.

RESULTS

The launch was well received and reported on by local publications such as the Riverfront Times, Saint Louis Post Dispatch, Feast Magazine, Sauce Magazine, and named a finalist in the Good Food Awards upon launch.
